Completion of the renovation of Saint Michael's Church
The more than 600-year-old monument church was renovated as a result of a joint application by the municipalities of Kézdialmás and Lemhény. The full-scale renovation started with difficulty in 2020 due to the lack of seriousness of the constructor, but from 2021, things returned to normal, and the new constructor got to work according to his order and manner. The exterior renovation of the church was already completed in 2022, and the interior work began in the spring of 2023. The floor was renovated, and the benches were put in place. The restoration of the stucco was also wonderfully successful. Meanwhile, with the support of the Hungarian government, a new mass altar and ambo were made in the workshop of the stone carvers Bartalis Barna and Bartalis Lajos in Kézdiszentlék, and the furniture of the sanctuary was also made of solid oak in Székelyudvarhely courtesy of László Endre. The rededication of the Baroque monument church, which was renovated, took place on November 4, 2023, by Archbishop Gergely Kovács of Transylvania in the presence of many priests and guests.
